Most people believe in a general perception that drinking is an ill habit and it hampers our life expectancy. Although it isn't entirely wrong, it isn't entirely true as well. Understandably, the health risk associated with alcohol consumption can vary between countries depending on various factors like obesity, living conditions etc. The Crux of the matter remains that if taken in moderate amounts, your life expectancy won't get hampered and on the contrary it will most likely prevail, but if taken in large doses, it will surely harm you. Drinking more than one drink every30 minutes means you are probably drinking too much, too fast. Difficulty walking, blurred vision, slurred speech, slowed reaction times, impaired memory: Clearly, alcohol affects the brain. On the other hand, a person who drinks heavily over a long period of time may have brain diseases.
